What Prep Is Required? Do I Need To Use Lifeproof Surface Primer?

A clean surface is the only prep required for Lifeproof Home Ceramic to bond properly. You can continue to use your standard household cleaner for this. Isopropyl alcohol also works great for prep. Lifeproof Surface Primer is not required but is designed to not only clean the surface thoroughly with an isopropyl alcohol base but contains primer siloxanes that allow for maximum adhesion.

How Much Can The 8 FL OZ Bottle Cover?

A little really goes a long way! Generally, one 8 FL OZ bottle can coat an average kitchen and bath 3-5 times or 1,000 square feet.

Is The Coating Noticeable?

No. Lifeproof Home forms a super-thin (0.3-0.6 mils) SiO2 ceramic layer that is 100% transparent and not noticeable. You may however notice an increase in gloss.

Can The Coating Be Removed?

Yes! While Lifeproof Home is very durable, it can be removed with concentrated isopropyl alcohol or Lifeproof Primer should you need to.

Will The Coating Buildup, Crack, Or Yellow?

Absolutely not! Lifeproof Home is ultra thin and will no crack, yellow, or buildup over time. You'll know it's time for reapplication when you see loss of benefits like liquid repellency.

    Clean the surface thoroughly with any general-purpose cleaner. Or use Lifeproof Home Pre-cleaner. Shop Pre-Cleaner.

  • Spray On Surface

    Spray a fine mist on the surface or on the included microfiber towel and wipe evenly onto surface. Tip: wipe with the grain for stainless steel!

  • Wipe Off

    Wipe/buff off the residual ceramic residue to a super-slick feel. For best results, wait 1-hour dry use or4 hours wet use.
