Learn how to apply Lifeproof Home Ceramic Coating
Our ceramic coating can be applied in just four simple steps. Follow the instructions below to ensure a successful application.
Step 1: Thoroughly clean the surface with any household all-purpose cleaner, isopropyl alcohol, or Lifeproof Home Pre-Cleaner.
Step 2: Spray a fine mist onto the desired surface and wipe in with the included microfiber towel using a linear motion.
Step 3: Immediately wipe/buff off the residue/haze to a super slick, streak-free shine.
Step 4: Let the coating cure for 2 hours before using the surface. The coating will fully cure in 24 hours.
Stainless Steel Tip: For streak-free stainless steel, wipe with the grain and always buff off the residue with the dry side of the towel until you're left with a super-slick, streak-free shine!
Tips & Tricks
Prep Surface Thoroughly
To get the most protection and durability out of Lifeproof Home it's important to make sure the surface is as clean as possible. You can use any household cleaner but isopropyl alcohol or Lifeproof Home Primer is recommended for maximum adhesion. For some surfaces, like stainless-steel sinks, it may be recommended to lightly polish the metal before coating.
After Coating Care
Lifeproof Home ceramic coating is exceptionally durable, however, harsh chemicals and cleaners can deteriorate the coating faster. For the longest results, use gentle or natural cleaners and soaps.
How to Restore & Rejuvenate Lifeproof Home
If it seems like the surface is losing the coating properties like water beading, it is more than likely only due to the surface being contaminated. Simply clean the coated surface with a mild soap or cleaner. In high-touch areas, you can re-apply the ceramic spray coating as needed.
How to Unlock the Sprayer
Sprayers may come in the locked position and will not allow the trigger to be depressed. To unlock, toggle the button in the center of the sprayer assembly neck. Moderate pressure may need to be applied to release the lock.
How to Remove the Coating
The coating can be removed anytime with isopropyl alcohol or Lifeproof primer.
